Cornell Class of 2028 Official Thread

Looks like we’re the only two with that. When did you submit the CSS?

we did not apply for aid, but sent everything regardless, still see those processing.

I see this but I didn’t apply for aid

Did you check the common app pdf to see if you’re correctly marked as domestic? I can’t tell why most people have stuff on their list, some switched to no to do (guessing their FA offer was decided) and then this Empty Table.

When will they announce/confirm Ivy Day?

I’m not a US citizen, but I am a permanent resident—that’s what I put on my CommonApp as well.

Its March 28th.

My DD is a student intern in the admissions office this year. She told me that files are still being read and that most do not have a decision assigned yet as that part happens at the very end. Apparently a bunch of kids will withdraw once MIT releases (or other schools) so they don’t deny anyone until the end. I know waiting is hard but trying to find clues in the financial aid portal is not going to help your anxiety.

Thanks for the insight! If you don’t mind me asking, what school does your daughter intern at? I’m just asking because each school has different admissions procedures and ILR usually sends likelies on the 15th

You are right. Some schools already decided according to current students because of spring break.

She works at the undergrad admissions office where the processing happens. She says the colleges might have made the decision but that it hasn’t been entered into the system yet (I don’t really know what that means).

It means that they have a pile of folders of students that they know they want to admit. But they have not moved those names over into the system so that it would be seen in anyone’s portal. They are also probably adding to that pile as they finish up with final decisions.

ILR will release some actual admits early before March 28. Not “likelies” but actual admit letters

I doubt AAP would do that.

does brooks send out likelies

Yup, and along with the admittances is (if possible) a financial aid designation hence why FA might mean somethign

Would she know anything specific to AAP ( architecture program) ?

does your daughter know the difference between financial aid when it says that to do documents are processing?

what do mean about Admin ant FA?
