Cornell Class of 2028 Official Thread

I was looking at 2027 official thread, and they were discussing people who got email requesting documents were accepted, got likely or waitlisted. I did a search, found many with same outcome… but also found some who never responded after decisions, which could mean they did not get in.

I think emails following up on FA are different from the FA portal, since the FA department runs FA concurrently. Hence, an early shift now in FA status could be related to the link between a soon coming decision (in this case early acceptance), while regular FA follow-ups could either be related to a change in status or regular FA processing

yeah mid feb I got two separate emails from financial aid. one said my W2 reported 1100 less than my tax return, as I forgot to submit my other W2. other said that my parents tax return wasn’t signed. don’t know if that means anything. my portal says To-Do with nothing, and when I click Go everything pops up as processing.

In my opinion, many people who got likely letters had same financial portal by the decision coming out.

Their portal wasn’t updated even they got likely letters through previous years’ communications and other schools this year.
Maybe i am wrong?

Nah, from previous years, a ton of students don’t even get their award until a while after admission. I don’t think we can speculate anything based on the FA portal. Also based on what Lizlemon said, I don’t think there’s a correlation.

it seems like both me and mellome have the same issue, #2. Processing to “no to do info found”

I read past year cc forum… They who got likely didn’t get financial award before decision came out and their portal didn’t change before regular decision came out?

Then, this year students who got likely letter from Columbia or yale, their financial portal is changed or their portal has acceptance letter ? Ask them. I don’t know anymore.

You said same thing to me.

What didn’t change?

I emailed FA about what the processing document’s in their FA status meant. I was told that means they have them and they are in the “process” of being reviewed. Whether that is a good thing or not- I have no idea lol

Admission portal and financial portal.

I wonder if their who got likely letter, portal( both of potentials) have changed ( other school) or had changed in previous years.

Because people say about financial portal astrology.

what is the website you go to to even see this page?

i got 2 but i’m confused as to why ppl think it’s a good sign? like i think it’s just bc i submitted my css and fin aid docs back in october so it makes sense there’d be nothing on my to do list/no info found since they had a lot of time to process it alr

I have #3… Should i email financial aid office??

I submitted CSS back in January, never got any request for any additional documents from Cornell FinAid office. RD.

maybe your taxes were straightforward, and mine had business taxes, so more documents and the more confusing. I am trying not to read too much into this.

you need to click the drop down to cornell
and financial aid then click go.
Has anyone else been emailed for those pre college classes and noticed that the college they applied too, admissions and financial aid were all
cc’d on the email as well?

At the risk of introducing something unpopular, as it doesn’t require meaningless astrology and useless speculation, has anyone heard of any definite (published) dates for Cornell Days?
