Cornell Class of 2029 Official Thread

careful with college admissions folks, wild story:

what do you mean?

hi everyone, I wonder if (1) the finaid trick is for sure (since they might have aid prepared independently of your admissions outcome, as the offices are separate) and (2) whether it would work if I applied for aid but didn’t complete my application (didn’t submit CSS)

also sorry if these questions have been asked & answered over and over again! I really appreciate it

I definitely agree with point 1. This morning I tried the financial aid hack and got “access denied- no information” however now I can view an aid package. I’m hopeful but also it could be a waitlist/accept deliberation.
However I do have the Presidential Research Scholar Grant listed for fin. aid.. This is only given to 200 incoming freshmen, so I think I’m still in the running for admission if this is award is even being deliberated. Don’t know though, so I’m waiting for Thursday before calling it anything.

Remember guys to just wait, stuff can update in a matter of hours :). Also, it could just be wrong!

Guys I love astro too and I completely get it can be calming, but please for the sake of your mental, get a nice book or go to bed early and just wait it out for thursday.

So idk if this changes anything, but 2 hours ago I didn’t have the pending message. Now I have aid and grants and everything. My theory that they’re still implimenting finaid is true, have hope everyone

We would be the same case scenario as you
wondering if everyone who is a domestic applicant can see “Pending Financial Aid” in their drop down regardless of what pops up after you click it, or if some do not have pending aid option listed in drop down at all? Hope someone’s theory of fed loans showing up later is correct. That was indeed true for us as well at a few other schools.

For me it’s gone back to “inquiry denied”. Definitely agree that astro is a losing battle (except for that person with the research grant, that’s a pretty strong sign!). Y’all it’s literally under 48 hours, we can wait.

what was it? it was taken down

yeah anyone knows if theres a method that doesnt involve aid

Is there any international student who is able to see grant amount?

For full pay domestic applicants, when you guys go to student center and then pending aid, what do you guys see. I see this

The grant astrology should not work for people who have not applied for aid right?

Yeah the grant astrology doesn’t work, but there were differences in what full pay people see so I just wanted to check in and see what others had for pending aid
