This is the official discussion thread for Cornell Class of 2029 RD applicants. Ask your questions and connect with fellow applicants.
hey everyone, I got an email from Cornell asking for a non-custodial letter from me, does that mean anything? I saw a few students on Reddit saying they got one before they were admitted. I applied for RD 2029, Thanksssss
If I may ask, what’s a non-custodial letter?
It’s a specific financial aid document that is required if only one parent can complete the CSS profile. Ours was submitted in advance, so Cornell did not request it, but another school S25 applied to called with questions about ours. I think it’s just indicative of Cornell following up to ensure FA applications are complete.
It means you didn’t provide all of the documents needed to apply for financial aid. This email came from the financial aid office, correct? It is not indication of admission.
Okay thanks, I’m an international student so that’s helpful ! No it came from financial aid office , they sent another email to me from financial aid to get it to them as soon as possible, so I did they emailed me back saying that they approved it
I meant to say, “yea it did” not no it did lol
Will decisions come out this week for Cornell SHA 2029?
Looking at the threads from previous years some decisions should be coming out this week but I’m not sure exactly when. It should be from the 1st to the 6th. Really nervous about it.
Do you mean likely letters? Because decisions will be released on March 27 (Ivy Day).
SHA acceptances always come out the first week of March
Do you know if they’ve ever sent out acceptances on weekends?
SOME Nolan acceptances come out before Ivy Day. They are not likely letters but actual acceptances. Nolan and the nursing school at Penn are allowed to send early acceptances outside of Ivy Day.
same here cornell fin A email mentioned that it wasn’t a guarantee of admission tho
Hi! Does anyone have any updates on this?
Someone just got their nolan acceptance today, I think that’s the only early batch of decisions they release.
Did you get in today?
Sadly no, I didn’t receive anything today, what about you?
Were they contacted by email or was it through their portal?
