Cornell College Choice?

I plan on applying early decision to Cornell soon, but I have a question about what college I should put as my primary choice. I'm torn between majoring in Mathematics and Chemical Engineering, but they're in different colleges. Is one college easier to transfer into than the other?

I think A&S and Engineering are actually the only two colleges that have lower transfer than freshman admit rates. However, engineering is notoriously low, especially if you are a guy. At the end of the day it depends on your qualifications. You could always apply to the other as an alternate. Also, I think there is an option for a math minor, but not an engineering one- that might factor into your decision.

I have heard if you are considering engineering its easier to apply there first and then transfer out to A&S rather than the other way around.

If you want the highest acceptance rate, Hotel school has the highest. 29% last year, ED will be higher. Good luck!

I’m gunna agree with what @ParadiseCity said.
