BIG ONES (major extracurriculars i think)

Member of District Media Center of our school - came down almost every day during lunch (about 47 minute periods) to laminate stuff teachers send in from all over school district, repair stuff (overheads, boomboxes, etc…) that also came in from over the district, and also edited video filmed by us, also generally helped teachers out with technical problems if we were called to do so - 9th to 12th grade

Science Olympiad - 10th grade - won 8th place in several events during regional’s (boomilever, oceanography)
11th grade - won first place in regional competition in Robot Ramble, Boomilver, and 2nd place in oceanography.
Completely came up with the idea for the electric vehicle which also won 1st place in regionals (but i didnt actually compete in the event)
**State Competition/B - won first place in Robot Ramble and 4th in Boomilever (this will be the thing I will elaborate on in the common app)
Captain of Science Olympiad team - 12th grade

Employment

Worked for a dermatology office over the summer between 11th and 12th grade
Managed computers and the network there, and by managed, I mean we (by we I mean me, brother, and 2 others) had almost complete control, perhaps too much, over all computer systems and the network. Fixed problems, and innovated ideas for other things (like getting music on the hold line, getting a computer to run presentations on the TV in the waiting room)

District Media Center - Worked all year during high school working various events by signing up for jobs like filming concerts, setting up sounds systems. Worked summer between 9th and 10th, and between 10th and 11th maintaning school equipment over the summer at various schools over the district to prepare for next year.
(note, this is not the same as the DMC I posted before, the thing I went down to during lunch was completely voluntary, and still do it, this is paid jobs)

Awards
11th grade - had this after school assembly to congratulate various students from around the school for achievements, I was part of it because of the science olympiad win

11th grade - NHS induction

11th Grade - German honor society induction

11th grade - top ten dinner at a country club (awarded to top 10 students in each class)

Major hobby that is noteworthy
I am going mainly for aerospace, one of my essays will most likely deal with my love for aero stuff so:

Last august I found a RC flying club which I am now a member of. Since the about 4 weeks I have been there and flying there, I have already built and flown my own plane, and am unofficially the fasted member to solo a flight. One of the people I have come to know pretty well at the club was/is the judge for wright stuff at science olympiad (an event i will most likely do this year)

If you look at this, dont look straight at the SAT’s and say too low to get in, I think I have some major Extracurriculars and awards that make up for it. I cant take them over again because I need to take SAT 2’s next week, which is the last possible SAT date for Cornell ED

Damn thats a lot of stuff i just wrote, most of it is in my resume since you can barley describe anything on the common app. This college website thing our school has for students has comparisons for schools. Matching me with average Cornell data, comparing only my GPA and SAT scores, it gives me a probability of 9/31 of being accepted.
