Cornell ED Chances?

I am applying ED to Cornell, specifically the ILR school, which doesn’t require SAT Subject test scores.

Possibly my biggest advantage is the fact that I attended Cornell Summer College (CSC), and was chosen out of several hundred applicants to be one of 16 “Featured Students,” which means that the admissions officers for CSC, based on my application, selected me to write a blog on the Cornell website. I also have a letter of recommendation from a current Cornell professor and a Cornell alum.

My stats:
3.98 weighted GPA
ACT: 31 (32 superscore)
APs: European History (3), Language and Composition (4), Environmental Science (5)
Decile Rank: 2
Course load: Rigorous, but not the most rigorous I could have possibly taken. I am in 3 AP classes this year, was in two last year (plus one honors class), and was in one sophomore year (only one was available). I have never taken a free-period, and have had 8 classes (most people at my school either have 6 or 7) since sophomore year.

Extra curriculars:
President & Founder of Mock Trial Club
- Recipient of “Outstanding Attorney” award
Journalism
- Recipient of 3+ journalism awards, such as Quill & Scroll, and JEA (I say 3+ because I am currently entered in three other contests, and am awaiting to hear back).
- An editor, but not Editor-in-Chief
Youth Court
- I have volunteered at a restorative justice program, called Youth Court, for 3 years
Music
- I play in two successful jazz combos, and am a recording artist
- I am one of 4 assistant directors of my school’s music dept.
Held a paid internship at a top-tier San Francisco law firm
Model UN
Varsity Rugby one year
JV Football one year

Forgot to mention essays.

Common App: experience at Youth Court working with a girl who was bullied at school, and I challenged the belief that the law facilitates partisan adversarial mindsets.

Supplement for ILR: I talk about a few classes, and how my extra curriculars fit into those classes.

Cornell is an easier Ivy to get into. With your stats and ED you’ll probably be admitted.

…bump…

Cornell ED: High Match-Low Reach

bump please

Cornell is an easier Ivy to get into, but your grades/ ]scores don’t really match that of most people who get into Cornell. That said, your EC’s are excellent. It’s still a reach for you, but your EC’s and connections at Cornell will give you a chance.
