AHHHHH! What should I do for the next 90 minutes??? I literally finished all my hw so that I wouldn’t have to do anything if I get rejected. Any thoughts?
Yes. This is more difficult to me than the actual rejection itself. I remember my parents were upset when my older brother did not get accepted to NYU ED. He later got accepted to Cornell RD (go figure) and they were ecstatic. It sucks that they’re shallow like that but that’s life I guess. Fingers crossed.

Honestly I would be more sad about disappointing my sister than my parents. My sister goes to Cornell and she was expecting me to get in as well. She’s in the middle of finals right now and she has no idea that results are coming out today (I haven’t told anyone in my family).
Even if you are rejected remember its not the end of the world, and your parents will only be disappointed for you, not by you!. After my rejection, it made me take a hard look at what I could do to improve and I reapplied to Cornell and got in. But in hindsight, many years later, I don’t think Cornell was the best fit for me …

@pum2712 Acceptance letters obviously begin with ‘Congratulations!’
