Mid semester (quarter) grades are not required for ED, but proactive GC will send in your mid semester grades. This is especially helpful if you continue to take the most rigorous courses and are showing upward trend. My kid applied ED few years back and we asked her GC to send in her mid semester grades. My nephew, who never took any APs until senior year due to 10th grade transfer from an international school, also sent in his mid semester grades (with all As) was admitted ED.

If admitted ED, Cornell will still request for your end of year transcript and expect you to maintain your GPA. If you should decide to change courses spring semester, you’ll need to inform Cornell. They don’t want you to slack off senior year.
