Essays:
My essays were so good. I’m not even bragging I promise. I am really good at writing and they were so unique and well written. Proud of these.

Other:
Included supplemental dance video in the additional info section

Where I got in:
Besides Cornell, I heard a back from Bama, Penn State, and Fordham before I had to withdraw my apps. I wrote so many essays that were never read lol. Got pretty much a full ride from bama and 20k/year at Fordham.

That’s all! Feel free to ask for more specifics or if I missed anything.

Just curious - what is the financial impact?

Cornell, full pay, will be near $400K.

Did you get need aid or are paying full freight?

What was your desire for Cornell (if full) vs. Fordham/Bama?

Congrats - it’s awesome that you got in.

Have a fantastic four years.

This is the real question…
I am paying full and am currently applying to scholarships like crazy lol.
Thank you!

Good luck. Scholarships are hard to get but if your parents work for a company, have them see if their employer offers. It’s small potatoes - I got $2K for one kids and one for another.

A friend has a $500 annual scholarship for four years.

Check locally -not the big national ones.

I hope you have a great four years.

PS - you didn’t answer my question: What was your desire for Cornell (if full) vs. Fordham/Bama?

Perhaps I missed this, but will you be attending CAS?

Congratulations! If you can afford to walk away from the scholarship then Cornell is an amazing school. I have come to realize that return on investment is a big deal for our family. Fordham has a great business program w exposure to Nyc with 50% of their business classes being in the Lincoln center location. He received a healthy scholarship and entrance into their business honors program so for us it’s just too much money and a great program to walk away from. It will be hard for any if the other schools my son applied to to top the offers he received from Fordham. I know a lot of people in their fifties still making school loan payments. That was a route we are not willing to take. Did you get into Dyson or CAS? Dyson is cheaper if you are instate.

Congratulations! Yours is the type of application that could have gotten you in anywhere, even before the possible alteration of the process in response to the SC decision. Stellar grades, very high rigor, very high EC achievement, including reported achievement in dance on the national level.

Sorry I guess I’m just confused about what you meant. I ED Cornell so I would rather go there. LMK if that’s what you’re asking:)

CAS. I am not in state and I felt like the Dyson econ major leaned more towards a business degree, which I did not want.

Hello, tsbna44! I was just reading over some of your responses to this forum and I agree with kat in that I am also pretty confused about your question. I think it is pretty clear that kat is passionate about Cornell. Now heres my question: What is your desire to be questioning this user’s desire? Everyone has their personal reasons.

Best,
