Cornell Engineering

Hi guys. I applied to Cornell and Caltech under the regular decision plan and wanted to what impression my extracurricular activities (related to engineering) could have on the College of Engineering admission staff of both places.

I made a solar RC car in 11th grade, a robotic arm in 12th grade and this year I made another robotic vehicle for Pakistan science Olympiad, a robotic face (won an ‘Honorable Mention’ title for it; it was an inter-school competition) and a RC tiltrotor. I do not have words or numbers to describe or measure my passion for engineering; I am just very very passionate about engineering.

Other information: My school does not rank. I have straight A’s in both O’ Level and AS level. I hope my teacher recommendations are good too. I don’t want to talk about my SAT I (didn’t get good scores) I took SAT I only once so I hope they will not let one Saturday destroy my life. My SAT II subjects and scores are math II 680 (bad), chem 770 (average) and phy 770 (average). I know I have messed up my SATs but do I still stand a chance? And I have applied for financial aid.
