@Chem&Theater
how to people do the pin trick?
@Bloodyhell Keep in mind that in CC history, CAS has never waited this long to hand out their final batch of decisions. Most of those who are rejected late are CALS and engineering. I haven’t seen many CAS rejections during the last week in prior years.

Accepted today as a chem major!
@colucho08 How’d it go?
A note to future applicants and those still waiting. I was accepted to CAS without submitting my test scores. However, I was coming from a test optional school.
Just checked got rejected.
Asian International
3.9 GPA NYU Premed
I thought I was going to be given a chance but I guess not. Not good enough for Cornell I guess.
accepted!
aem accepted! out of state community college junior transfer. 4.0, tons of ecs, full time job & I have my own business. worked so hard for this I’m so excited!
Also, future CALS applicants (if you’ve made it this far, congrats): if you’ve received a decision date via the PIN trick and have NOT gotten a transeval update, that is an almost certain sign that you’ve been rejected or waitlisted. CALS prepares an initial transfer credit evaluation to send each admitted students along with his or her acceptance package, so if you don’t have it, things probably aren’t lookin good. Otherwise, congrats, but in the end we’ve all worked real hard, and should be proud of ourselves regardless. Now onto orgo : x
@packman012 @wonderfulpancake Congrats to both of you!
@calidawg Well, I hope you are right, and it is not all rejections. It has been almost two months since my application went to review and it is getting hard to be optimistic. I maybe wrong but I think they are waiting for some of the accepted students to withdraw (due to Financial Aid) or some other reasons to accept couple more students.
So I haven’t done any of the Financial Aid stuff on my checklist. How screwed am I?
CAS Government still no pin…
How long did it take to get the welcome packet in the mail? My enrollment is pending on FA
Waitlisted for CALS…what should I do? is anybody else here also waitlisted? Should I prepare for a rejection later on? Should I write them a letter? Sorry just a very lost child right now haha
@teaxcupcakes, for what major? Sophomore or Junior? I was also waitlisted (Env + Sustainability Sciences), it sounds like they probably won’t even use the waitlist for transfers, unfortunately. You can try to write them a letter, but they don’t reply to emails so…
@Ishouldliveinslt sophomore and microbiology…how did you know that theyre not using the waitlist
@teaxcupcakes just a guess. Think about it, they do rolling admissions and CALS takes far more transfers than any other school (over 200 compared to ~70 at CAS), so they have a good idea of how many spots need to be filled before they send out the last round of decisions. Also, a ton of spots are reserved for GT/TO students and students applying from NY schools who get automatically accepted with >3.0 via the transfer agreements. Getting in off the waitlist does not seem promising, as much as I hate to say it.
