Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

Welcome pack should arrive within a few days of acceptance

??? can anyone confirm why I have not yet received my decision

@datbulmir I applied to CAS and I haven’t gotten my results either. But judging from last year’s thread, they sent out the admission decisions until mid June, so I guess we have to wait a little longer

Anyone tried the pin trick? And is it working?

Worked for me transcript on initiated

What’s the “pin trick”?

Letters of Rec:
Finance and accounting professor, director of finance at my job and another fellow colleague who is a director of operations

Wrote my essay about my past business experience and how it could be expanded from Cornell’s immense opportunities and unique concentrations including strategy and business analytics.

Included a personal statement about my internship this spring, my love for vinyl records and puzzles.

Met with the Dyson Dean Wooten during one of my visits to Cornell. It went extremely well.

Honestly still in shock that I wasn’t accepted, as I live fairly close to the University and have grown up traveling down to Ithaca.

I was accepted to Ithaca College over the weekend though, where I should be attending and majoring in Finance. So I will still be down in the city.

Best of luck to you all and I hope this helps!

So many excellent students got rejected…

Engineering Non-TO Admitted

@singer99 your qualification is so impressive and I couldn’t think about any reason you should not get accepted except the available spots in Dyson is really limited. I guess God has a better arrangement for you. In long run, when one turns to 40, 50, … for most people, which college you attended does not matter that much. I work in a top telecom industry, most executive management in my company got their bachelor’s degree from a state college or a non famous college. Congratulations to your acceptance to Ithaca College!

Congrats @indeterminateP . I am also an engineering applicant. Just out of curiosity: when and how did you receive your decision. Based on past results, the dean of the department sends acceptance emails.

@sherlocked1 Thanks and yes, the decision was included in an email sent by the college. It says the official letter from the University is gonna to be sent next week.

@indeterminateP Can u share your stats?

@indeterminateP I have also been admitted to CoE. Hope to see you on campus soon.

@sherlocked1 Are u TO or Non TO? Can u share stats?

@sbu2022 I am a non-TO (engineering doesn’t have transfer option). I am not really comfortable with sharing stats, but my gpa was fairly close to a 4.0 and SAT was in the 99th percentile (1500+).

@sbu2022 I’m an international transfer applicant so my case may not be typical. GPA is very close to 4.0, didn’t take SAT, as a rising junior.

Anyone else not hear back yet at all?

I haven’t
