can someone just please explain step by step how to find this checklist. I really really really can’t find it to save my life
@JellyPeeps they just emailed me with the same advice haha thanks though!
@sstayingpositive here is the link to the financial aid checklist: https://finaid.cornell.edu/check-application-status
I will say, it took me like two hours and 3 applicantID login resets to be able to get logged in. So, I can’t really help with that part, but I can show you were to go.
Their fin.aid AppID is buggy for me. I have to reset it every time I need to log in. Happened like 6 times already: I reset it, change the password, and next time it won’t accept it, and I have to reset it again.
@OwlOfAthena ME TOO!! I thought it was just me. I was like… maybe I am not smart enough to go here. LOL
@OwlOfAthena Yeah I am having the same issue. I guess we are not supposed to see it yet?
I would love to be a Cornell math major! fingers crossed!
Oh, I can see it, but only once, and then I have to reset my account credentials.
I don’t have any problems with my Application Materials Status portal (where I use my email, not the AppID).
I wish they had just one portal for both checklists like almost all schools do.
Oh well, Cornell is fantastic, and is certainly worth the effort.
At least, it’s good to know we are not alone.
Yes, I ment Cornell’s colleges, ie. Engineering, CALS, etc.
I was expecting decisions to be in late May/early June so hearing April is news to me! I am getting antsy to see my decision but also kind of dreading it. All I can do now is just hope for the best!
@OwlOfAthena I also have access to the ApplicantID checklist. I was just assuming that since the passwords kept getting reset every so often that they had an automatic timer set in place for the applicants’ accounts to reset. I have had to reset everytime I login and what’s worse is that their password requirements are pretty strict too lol.
Hopefully the issue is addressed soon though, hopefully before decisions are made!
@malwabyte We are supposed to check for missing documents. I would keep trying and make sure you get in. I was missing something that I was able to resubmit via email, so that will speed things along. Definitely keep at it!!
I’m just missing my college report, I sent it by mail. Hope they get it soon.
Yeah, I am on the countdown. I have so many things that show as missing, I check and adjust my list every day. Sometimes when I feel neurotic, I work on it twice a day. LOL.
My application fee shows as waived now. My application checklist is now complete (I wish, the same could be said about my fin.aid checklist).
Do they start reviewing an application as soon as it’s complete, or do they review them in waves?
@OwlOfAthena mine shows as waived now too! Yay! I think they review them when they are complete.
@OwlOfAthena decisions across the colleges in Cornell all simultaneously release decisions on a rolling admissions basis
@OwlOfAthena if I applied using a fee waiver, but my portal is showing that it is missing the application fee how do I fix this?
Looked at my checklist and it says I’m missing two things. One is a midterm report which my school doesn’t do, and the other is a registrar report.
Not sure what a “registrar report” is but I went to the registrar’s office and asked if they knew what it was and they said no lol, so I assume they don’t do that either.
undergradapp@cornell.edu. I checked today and the report said received so definitely let your counselor know to send it there.
