Applied to ILR, but had previously applied to Cornell. I was able to reset my password for the applyyourself portal, but when I logged in, I got an “error detected” message. Does this mean no decision tomorrow?
@charletterp the regular transfer applicants (non-GT) hears back tomorrow are rejections, at least historically.
@grundeis I’m a regular applicant, but I received an email from Columbia: “As you had indicated your interest in applying to Columbia prior to the deadline, we will continue to accept your transfer application until 11:59 p.m. (your local time) on Monday, March 4, 2019.” when I missed the deadline to submit my application to Columbia. I applied to Columbia in high school once and was also offered an interview with an alumni, though rejected. I’m a NY cc student.
@yanlaodun911 Ah okay, that makes sense. From what I know, the further removed you are from school the less your high school stats matter and it seems you’re quite far into college already credit wise. I think you’re in good shape-I also find out tomorrow about ILR so praying for the best for both of us!
@onebfi lol sorry to keep @ing you but i just know we’re in same boat for TO n things looking good, do you think we’re finding out tmrw? Did ur pin trick work/tell u anything?
is it 10am pst or est?
@charletterp Yes sir! https://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000156.pdf Although this document indicates ILR’s acceptance rate for transfers to be at 44% percent for Fall 2011 which gives me some hope, still not sure how many people are applying to ILR for Fall 2019… Good luck sir!
@yanlaodun911 hi, does it indicate on your portal that you will hear back tmr?
That # may include TOs since TO is still an “application” . still no official email.
I have read for ILR the transfer acceptance rate is around 28% for non TOs.
@wanjunhing definitely EST
@jessicala 10AM tomorrow after using the pin trick
The issue here is whether this statistics included TO/GT applicants. Interesting though, the number of TOs given is not published, and the definition of “Special students” as stated in the document is also uncertain.
So it looks like most of the non gts are expecting decisions tmr, according to their pin tricks? Or 4/23/19 10 am only means starting releasing decisions from this date and time, can happen either tmr or next Tuesday?..
Is received an option because I do not see anything that says initiated or ordered. I only see received.
Are there any non-GT people who are NOT receiving decisions tomorrow?
@theriley106 my son applied CAS as sophomore transfer, he is not GT or TO, he applied freshman before so the pin trick won’t work. We did not get any email from Cornell telling us when decision will be out.
@theriley106 I am non-GT and still have not heard anything regarding my decision. Nor did the pin trick work despite being a first time applicant for Cornell. I guess that wait continues.
@zhengfangchen I applied last year as well and the PIN trick actually worked for me this morning. Also have not received an email from Cornell yet.
Some non-GT people said the pin trick didn’t work for them. They are probably the ones who will make it to the admission committee stage. The rest probably did not make it past the readers and will get the official axe tomorrow.
