Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

You can always pay the deposit and wait for your other schools. You won’t get a refund but you can still go to your other schools if you get in!

Does anyone know about how many non-GT people were rejected today? To me it seems like about half of all non-GT applicants were rejected, but what do others think?

when am I going to hear back ?!?!?

To me, it seems like most TO’s got accepted today, and most non-TO’s got rejected.

TO, didn’t find out today. Submitted my application just a few days before the deadline.

Hey all! I have been reading this thread for a while now. I’m a non-TO applying to Dyson as a junior transfer. Haven’t heard a decision yet or received any other notification. I had everything processed by March 1st

Accepted - CALS TO!

@grundeis from what I have seen today, very few or no non-TOs on this thread were accepted. That is a small sample size for the first wave of decisions though

@singer99 From what I see, not a single non-TO was accepted today

I’m a CAS non-TO and didn’t hear back today. I am super curious to know how many non-TO’s heard back today. I don’t understand the pin trick, can someone tell me where you go/what you click on for that? Is it under the applicant ID login page or the application status page? I think I tried clicking on “forgot my password” on the applicant ID page and all it told me was to rest my password. Not even any mention of a pin.

Correction: I tried clicking the “my PIN has expired” on the applicant ID page and the only mention of a date was this: “Your Activation Code is valid until Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 1:57 PM EDT“ so does that mean I won’t hear back til May 23rd or does that have nothing to do with hearing back?

Maybe a stupid question, but what does TO, CAS, GT, CALS, etc. stand for?? Thanks!

TO = Transfer Option
GT = Guaranteed Transfer (Both TO and GT are offered to high school seniors for acceptance later in their college careers as long as they meet certain criteria)
CAS = College of Arts and Sciences
CALS = College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
Dyson = School of Applied Economics and Management housed under CALS (now connected to SHA or School of Hotel Administration)

Hopefully this helps @caro2525

Friend of a friend got into ILR as a non-TO today. 3.7 GPA, 2 reccs, and supposedly threw her essay together a couple of hours before the deadline lmao.

does cornell send out an email with a pin code for students to check their status; i didn’t receive any emails so im so confused

@bhdot27

ILR has a high acceptance rate though (~40% from a 2011 Cornell report; I doubt that it has changed much), so it’s not that surprising.

Hello, D got the TO for Human Ec. She has 3.6GPA. Hasn’t received email with PIN. any other Human Ec TO who haven’t heard yet?

What does TO and GT stand for?

I feel like this has been asked and addressed like 2,3 or 500 times already lmao

TO = Terrell Owens
GT = Georgia Tech

@dabbbmaster23 you deserve to be admitted just for that reply.
