Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

yes, I get two emails one with my old pin and one with a new pin

I am a math major non TO pin trick did NOT work for me what does that mean

@glassturtle I’m in the same boat. Non-TO applying to CAS. Transfer transcript is initiated. Based on previous threads, rejection seems probable.

@glassturtle there was someone whose ID started with “yay” something (don’t remember exactly) got accepted to Dyson last week and I believe this person said the FA portal was “initiated” by the time decision was received.

thank you @zhengfanchen and @zwetsch!!

@zwetsch yeah i’m not getting my hopes up, but i did see that it is possible to be accepted even with initiated transcripts and whatnot. whatever happens, happens though. we’ll be okay either way!!

if anyone has any other insights, please let us know!!

So what about me I’m non TO CAS applicant pin trick did not work

I saw that too! From what I’ve noticed, an “ordered” transfer transcript appears to guarantee an acceptance; however, it isn’t 100% certain that an “initiated” transfer transcript guarantees rejection. It does seem likely though. Good luck!

@IndirectProofs It just means you’re not receiving a decision tomorrow.

oh that is sad really

Does Non-TO usually get rejections on the second wave based on the past threads? (Super worried and anxious rn

Oof non-TO applicant to the ISST major here. PIN trick works for me… I’m so nervous!

CALS TO finaid to do list still initiated, pin trick did not work, so not getting decision tomorrow :frowning:

CALS NON-TO here, pin trick no luck, no pin found. Transcript on initiated still. So here’s to another week.

@Snekfest another week for both of us

Ok so far only two ILR decisions tomorrow… anyone else notice something about their finaid checklist?

@bvbchamps mind if i ask when did you submit your app and materials?

I low key don’t even remember if I applied to Cornell my senior year or not so idk if that’s why the PIN trick isn’t working for me orrr

Did anybody use the PIN trick and enter the email they applied with, and it came back with “We were unable to locate your pin”?

@parkcentral I submitted it on the deadline day (15th I think?), but my materials were all in from the beginning of portal access.
