Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

When I tried the new link it says “Applicants will be granted access to this page after receiving their official decision from the University.” does this mean anything? @grundeis

For those who are wondering, I checked last year’s thread and it doesn’t mean anything. There were applicants who got accepted and rejected after getting that message

Hi guys! I am new here! Do you guys know how important is the optional interview? (especially for SHA) I think I screwed that up badly … ( btw my GPA is 3.87)

Less than 3 hours.

Lol so I tried the pin trick again this week and it looks like we are still at a “unable to locate your pin”. HOW MUCH LONGER MUST THIS GO ON!!!

@ParZival12 according to what some people said this is a reject week, would you rather hear your decision on a rejet week, or would you rather wait till some non-reject week? lol

Still no email regarding the decision… Should I use the pin trick to check my decision though?

I think it doesn’t come until right at the hour.

Oh oh thanks

@ParZival12 Lol, it has not worked for me either but this a reject week so that is a good thing.

There’s no reason to classify each week as either reject or accept week, we don’t have any validity in saying such a thing. Whatever happens with your decision is the best choice for your life.

Facts. There’s absolutely no reason to say it’s a reject week what a horrible thing to say.

If you really want to become a part of the Cornell community, it’s not right both logically and ethically to be spreading fallacies that we don’t have any kind of evidence for. With the first wave last week, people classified it as “rejection week” for non-TO applicants when there were some non-TO applicants that in fact got accepted. Can we just be careful of what were saying and just be grateful we applied to Cornell? It’s a difficult institution to get accepted to and even a bigger challenge to go through.

I agree reject week sounds hurtful.

Any TOs still waiting on a decision?

To those that have been saying such things, please be more thoughtful in what you’re saying. And I’m sorry for saying this, but this isn’t what Cornell would want in their applicants. If you truly have the heart and desires to attend Cornell, this isn’t the way to be. You can definitely utilize information that has validity and logically makes sense, but not something that brutally comes from gut feeling like the “rejection/acceptance week”. Just please stop that nonsense and be patient with when your results come out. There’s no reason to create false hope and pessimism amongst those that really want to come to Cornell. If you’d like to continue making these speculations, I kindly ask you take them elsewhere. Not here because there are many anxious people here. Thank you.

NON-TO Rejected

CAS TO accepted!!! I’m so happy!!!

CALs TO accepted today at 10 am

Son got rejected, non TO CAS for CS major. I texted him “I feel so sorry, for Cornell, not for you. They have missed a great candidate like you. Good for another college that will be accepting you where you will bring big value and thrive there. Great effort!, my son, I am so proud of you!” .
