Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@ranger1 You can still try the pin trick on Monday, if your decision is coming out on Tuesday then that message will appear regardless of whether or not he applied last year

Ok thanks. He’s in the middle of finals right now, as if this wasn’t stressful enough. Lol

@ranger1 yeah same, it’s too much to handle lol. But we’ll get through

What program did you apply to? Did you apply anywhere else?

any other psych applicants out there?

Hello, guys. I applied to school of engineering. I have not heard anything from Cornell regarding interview or Spring grades or anything like that. My financial aid portal still show initiated.

@AC1139 Thank you! Hopefully we get in very soon and maybe see you on campus!

Is transferring into Dyson as a junior that much harder than as a sophomore? Their transfer packet online said that they highly prefer sophomore transfers, and I know AEM is already very difficult in general to get into. I was recently accepted to Georgetown, so hopefully I’m competitive for Cornell, but idk how likely it is now given that I haven’t heard back in the first few waves.

@collegebc Don’t sweat it- if you got into G’town you have just as good a shot as anyone. I think the great bulk of non-TO’s has yet to be reviewed.

I’m a non-TO CAS. Is there a chance I still get accepted?

@datbulmir I think you’re still in the game. Earlier waves were mostly rejections, so the fact you’re still waiting is good news!

hi for people who apply engineering,
we were supposed to submit a major course description form in March. And i submitted to the wrong place, but last week, a staff in engineering college emailed me about if I have submitted the form and they said they will give me a full review after I submit my form.
So i think, recently it’s the time of engineering decision.

and i don’t know if I have already left them a bad impression

@BelleD that’s good that they asked you to submit the course description. I have that submitted like February. I have not heard anything back from Cornell, kid of worry a little bit.

@collegebc I got my Dyson acceptance before I get Georgetown’s acceptance. I really don’t know which school should I attend. Please shed some light on this

@yayy12 sorry for asking this, but you got Dyson acceptance??

@yayy12 Congrats! Honestly, I think you should decide on fit, because I’d say they’re the same in terms of prestige or opportunities. Do you know what you want to do in business? Maybe figure out how strong both are for your intended career path in terms of networking and on campus recruitment, because that is what matters most for business majors. Georgetown was my first choice out of high school and I didn’t even apply to Cornell then, but I think I would choose Cornell now just out of preferences in terms of location, diversity, and my secondary interest in computer science/information science.

if my pin trick did not work (9pm pst, 12am est) does that mean that I will not be getting my decision this week? it says “we are unable to locate your pin”

@wanjunhing can you please explain the pic trick???

I meant pin trick.
