Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@rish68 Did you apply last year? Are you non-TO? and are you in CAS?

@grundeis Yea i applied last year as freshman applicant. Im non-TO and i applied to SHA

D is TO for Human ec. Still no email and pin truck doesn’t work ?? anyone in the same boat? At this point, I am questioning if it’s worth it. She’s in good school with scholarship and research opportunity that she passed on even for this summer.

Does anyone know when Non-TO CALS applicants will most likely hear back?

We will get no fin aid and we didn’t even apply. Cornell won’t offer academic scholarship.

Non-TO CAS applicant, pin trick worked. Fin Aid checklist on initiated. God, tomorrow can’t come any sooner. I’m losing my mind.

@HongdouMianbao I agree. It looks like a lot of Non-TO are getting decisions tomorrow. I’m nervous, but after so many rejections, it’s hard to be positive. Tomorrow is going to be a hard day.

@flagship2000 Currently in the same situation. Still waiting on a decision. Another week we wait…

@decisions6821 which college did you apply? What major?

I wonder if the pin trick is for all or only for those who applied for the fin aid?!

Can someone explain the pin trick? I keep seeing people post about it, but I couldn’t find what it actually means in the last few pages. From my understanding, if your transcript on the FA status says “ordered”, then you’re accepted but if it says initiated and you do forgot password for ur pin on the decision website and it says you’ll get your decision tomorrow, then you’re rejected? So if my transcript still says initiated, and the “pin trick” says it couldn’t locate my pin, then it means nothing? Non TO AEM applicant. I know the odds are not in my favor, but I just want a decision back haha.

Also, I will need financial aid, but did not send in all my materials yet. Will I still receive the same amount of financial aid, but it’ll just delay my package, or is there a chance I get less money?

If you go to that decision page, you can click “forgot password” and it may or may not let you reset it. If you can reset it that means your decision is in the next wave (in this case, tomorrow). But, if it says that they are unable to locate your pin, then that means they haven’t made a decision yet.

Also, did any non-TO CAS applicants get in even though their transcript still said initiated?

CALS TO financial aid changed to ordered this morning and pin trick now works. Anyone who already got accepted know how long financial aid packages and official letters take to get to you?

Did any “initiated” person in CAS ever get accepted?

@parkcentral

They have in past years but no word yet on this year… tomorrow will be a big test as many of us are finally hearing back (non-TO CAS) after what appeared to be several waves of primarily rejections

Have there been any non-TO Dyson AEM rejections? I’d dig back into this thread a ways but it seems like AEM has been on the sidelines this whole time…

I wish they could just reject me already and not drag me along

Ha, ha. I kind of feel the same. LOL I’m excited that I will get 4 decisions this week though!

I haven’t kept up with the trends in how admissions are released, but are non TO AEM decisions usually released later? Is there a pattern in when the majority of us expect to hear back around some general date?
