Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

collegebc in so far as I can tell Dyson pushes it out…you’d think at a 2.9 acceptance they’d just be exploding rejections all day everyday…haha…wth

That really sucks. When I emailed the admissions office they said starting in late April, so I was hoping I’d know before the end of the semester. There’s no reason they couldn’t send some of us our rejections earlier on haha.

@yayy12 I’d say graduating on time would be a big priority for me. I also don’t think grading at Georgetown is too bad. I read something about Georgetown inflating their grades a little now and the average is around a 3.5. That’s higher than my current school and if you got into Cornell and Georgetown, then you must be getting good grades already too. I’d definitely recommend visiting if you haven’t, and even if you have, I think visiting as an accepted student is different knowing that you actually have these both as options now. Like I said, I don’t think one is obviously better than the other, so its just whatever factors are most important to you.

Are any ILR non-TO applicants getting their decisions tomorrow?

Which one is going to be:

Congratulations! You have been accepted to one of the world’s most prestigious universities.
Or
We are very sorry to inform you that we are not able to offer you a place as a transfer student…

I just want to stop by requick and say this,
regardless what kind of decision you will be getting (this coming weeks) remember that you are unique and that you are set to achieve great things. With or without Ivy-league schools you are going to be successful. Your hard work, determination, and focus will get you to your goal(s). Its been a nice roller coaster ride with you guys through out this college experience. I wish you all best of luck in all your future endeavors.?

Good luck everyone. Either way, we can be proud of the fact that we were able to apply to Cornell. We will all have great futures ahead of us no matter what happens.

I didn’t get an email :frowning:

@AC1139 keep your head up, prove them wrong

rejected! I am super angry. My application was so good. What more do they want? Some of the math papers I wrote are graduate level mathematics and have been accepted to international journals. I guess the people they accepted can also do that and I’m not special.

uhhh… anyone get an email yet?

I just feel like giving up everying math and everything else

rejected CAS non-TO. Good luck everyone!

@IndirectProofs hey bud dont be like that I’m sure Cornell’s missing out on you!! You’ve done amazing things already which means anywhere you go you can succeed!

@SSAG when did your email come in?

@IndirectProofs this does not make your accomplishments less impressive! use this as motivation!

I am TO and get rejected. I took all the required courses (4.0/4.0) and came to CC because of this… I dont know how to deal with this. I am shocked and I cried so hard. I don’t know what to do with my life now.
