Did anyone applying to Human Ec under HBHS major hear back yet? Just wondering if Cornell is reading according to majors.
@Kalistyne I am also a non-TO CAS and haven’t heard anything
@betaclimber I am also a bio major and haven’t heard
I need advice from you guys! I am TO but got rejected today even though I took all required courses and got 4.0. I cried so hard but i guess it’s time to face the reality. I am currently at community college and do you think I should transfer to 4 years university and reapply Cornell as TO or just stay here?
Non-TO CAS here. Still haven’t heard anything. Not sure what it means.
NON-TO for CALS still haven’t received a decision yet. I was expecting one today, called them and they told me nothing but just to wait until next week. I’m not sure if I’m in a good spot or bad one, because I feel like if they were to reject me it would’ve happened already. I submitted my application a week before March so I don’t know what to think of this anymore. FA still on initiated
Can someone explain what TO and CALS mean?
Non-TO CAS Psychology Major rejected today. I was also still on initiated so had a feeling.
My GPA is great: 3.88 all A’s and one C. My essay I feel was very strong as I devoted so much time and thought to it, mentioned specific professors I wanted to do research with and why I wanted to work with them, and I am a strong writer. The only areas in which I think I lacked were only getting one letter of rec (I mean that’s all they wanted so I don’t see why it should hurt me, but after seeing many people with 3 letters of rec I wonder…) and my extra curriculars. Almost all of my ECs were from high school as I’ve spent most of my time devoted to my studies alone and having to work part-time to pay my bills, so that might’ve not been in my favor. I never joined any clubs and wasn’t the president of anything. Just a big dance background and big involvement in a competition dance team in high school.
It’s all good though. I live in SoCal and wasn’t looking forward to driving my car all by myself to New York along with paying $725 a year for a parking permit haha. I already accepted my offer to go to San Diego State. Best of luck to everyone who’s dreaming of Cornell!!
@aqaqseattle Did you get an explanation from Cornell admissions as to why you weren’t accepted? Did you get approval from Cornell for all of the courses you took to satisfy the requirements? Did you have any disciplinary issues?
Also, I am coming from a San Diego community college so nothing to brag about.
@stressfulpique how did you find out if the pin trick didn’t work? Did you get an email today?
CAS non-TO rejected, just checked after getting shat on by an exam…and I got another exam+decision combo tomorrow lmao
@decisions6821 my D is Humanec TO. Hasn’t heard a thing
does anyone know if when you submitted your application matter in regards to when your decision is handed out? I submitted exactly on 3/15
@betaclimber I checked their website and it is pretty vague. It just says decisions come out in “May and June.”
can someone explain what TO and CALS mean
@doodle324 TO - Transfer Option. CALS - College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
TO = Transfer Option

CALS = College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
@decisions6821 i also applied humec to hbhs major and i haven’t heard back yet
You should call Cornell, as long as you meet the requirements you are supposed to be accepted
any engineering non-TO acceptance?
