I just got into Cornell ED!! Woohooo!!! (Sorry still excited about it). My older brother is in Zeta Psi at UPenn, and told me to look into it at Cornell. So I found this post and was very disappointed when I saw that Zeta Psi was bad at sports (according to this post), since I am a varsity athlete in soccer and tennis and want to play club or at least intramurals when I got to college.

But then I found the All Sport Intramural rankings on the Cornell website. I am pretty sure that you get points for winning intramural sports and progressing further in the tournaments that they have.

The current rankings as of Dec 9th, has Zeta Psi in 4th place, so I am not sure if these rankings are much older or whatever, but clearly they aren’t that accurate.

ew zeta psi, in my opinion, is one of the most obnoxious frats possible at cornell. i used to live in risley and EVERY nice sunny day in the fall/spring was RUINED by zeta psi blasting crappy 90s music or stuff like shania twain/celine dion/britney spears on their front lawn. ugh.

I think these are some things that should be noted:
-AZD’s newest pledge class is significant better than there previous years, and it is fairly easy to say that they will be considered much higher in the future (it’s my personal opinion (and many others) that AZD’s pledge class is better looking than KD and AchiO)
-A lot of the “Jewish” sororities are much less Jewish than you would think (SDT is an exception)
-“lower/middle” tier frats have many more mixers than is indicated by comments like they don’t mix much or have low sorority relations. I know Llenroc/Phi Tau/Rockledge all usually have at least one mixer a week with a wide variety of sororities, just to put things in perspective.

Got into Cornell ED!!! I’m definitely interested in joining the Cornell Greek scene. I’m looking into theta, is it extremely hard to get a bid from theta? are they known to be slutty? I’m considered upper middle class, will it hurt me that I’m not super rich?

Do many people get involved with two sororities? I was thinking of joining a business co-ed frat, are those even available at Cornell? Which sorority has the best house? Best location? Is anyone in AEM and in a fraternity/sorority? If so hows the work load for that?

Post here what you think is the best fraternities and sororities at Cornell U.

There are many topics about this. However, it doesn’t matter since fraternities and sororities are extremely selective and have very rigid recruitment processes. Moreover, every fraternity is different. What is “best” to one person may not be so to another. Don’t be fooled by rankings.
