One of my D’s recommenders was unable to upload her LOR via the Common App website. She provided a hard copy, before the deadline, instead.
My D followed up with her admissions rep to confirm that the LOR has been added to her file. The rep informed her that Cornell is about six weeks behind with mail. That was two weeks ago. My D still has not heard anything or received the email with information to check the status of her application.
Is or has anyone else been similarly situated? TIA!
My son submitted a supplement 11 days ago and it is not showing on his list of materials received but we got an email saying it is taking about 2 weeks to match up supplements uploaded to applications.
The email said “Thank you for submitting your application materials electronically. Cornell’s Processing Center has received them.In order to facilitate efficient processing, please do not mail or fax documents that you have submitted online. Please allow 2 weeks for our staff to update these documents to the student’s checklist.”
I did not have an issue with mailed letters of recommendation although mine were sent in early, in November, even though I am regular decision. I did mail with delivery confirmation.
@STEM2021, thanks for the info! My D still has not received confirmation of her letter that was mailed (and delivered) in November. I will follow up with her admissions rep tomorrow.
