I don’t think they believe in girls being away from home… it would take a lot to convince them. I’m really hoping on Cornell as well.
Can you talk about your phone interview? I received one too but I wanted to know how you think yours went. Mine lasted for an hour and I think it was decent tbh. I know of people who were receiving emails and phone calls about being accepted as well but they weren’t candidates for HEOP.
What did your email look like or say?
Gotcha. My parents don’t either want, but I’m kinda playing the I’m over 18- I’ll do what I want so long as I’m paying for it.
I wasn’t able to arrange a phone interview because I was traveling- though I did try. I hope that doesn’t work against me.
I’m pretty sure it won’t. I don’t think the phone call I had was technically an interview because in the email it said the phone call was just an “informal chat” but yeah, it was with an alum. I’m really hoping for good news. I’m so nervous for ivy day

I was waitlisted at a bunch of schools, but waitlist chances are slim.
Ikr. I was just thinking about Barnard rn, I’m waiting on NYU now and I’m really hoping for the best. Then I have to wait for stony and binghamton but if I don’t get into any of those schools I’m just going to go to city college. Which schools did you get waitlisted at ?
Update: Cornell was my dream school and I was devastated to have got rejected but I’m so grateful to have been admitted to NYU 
Let’s see if I can afford it lol but one thing i can say that i’ve learned from this is that numbers aren’t everything and to believe in yourself!
