Cornell Hotel vs. Medill

I need help. I am considering either the Cornell Hotel School or Medill for journalism at Northwestern. I am very creative and have a flair for writing, layout and design and would do the magazine sequence at Medill. Yet I have researched the hotel administration program at Cornell and can see myself entering that industry. What are the good and bad points of these programs and schools.
Please advise! Thanks

theyre both one of the, if not the, best in their respective fields… however writing and hotel administration seem to be very different fields of study… i guess it comes down to what you want to do more… and try to pursue that school.

Yeah, your question is something like “Should I pursue history at Yale or engineering at MIT?” It’s not something we can really help you with. You can’t lose either way of course (except for going to Cornell, because NU is awesome). Jk :-P. Although that does bring up the point that you may want to consider environments and etc.

yeah, both programs are generally regarded as being the best in their fields. Visit the campuses, maybe talk to people who went there/know people who went there and get a feel for each school.

Yes, they are different and I am visiting both this fall. Any ideas of advantages of Evanston vs. Ithaca?

One’s isolated, landlocked, and boring…the other’s right by Lake Michigan, in a great college town, 20 minutes from the 3rd largest city in the US…guess which is which? :)
