A couple of things; you will not have an interview. You may have an individual session with an alumni, but this will only be for you to gain information, no bearing on admission. Essays quaility & uniqueness only counts in the eye of the reader, not the writer. Your stats. are inline with typical students who are admitted. You may want to reaserch your school’s graduating class & see where students in the 15th -20th percentile of class rank were accepted. Something like 94% of Cornell students were in top 10%, but if your school is highly competetive it should offset.
