Cornell ID #?

Are all Cornell applicants assigned a 7-digit Cornell ID?
To check, go to studentcenter.cornell.edu and hit “Demographic Data”.
Do you all have a 7-digit Cornell ID too?

I’m a little thrown off bc according to this link (https://newstudents.cornell.edu/first-year/todolist/):
“All new students must memorize their 7 digit Cornell ID #.
This is your unique personal identifier at Cornell. It will be printed on your Cornell ID card. You will be required to use it for:
forms
exams
paying your bill
security verifications and more.”

Further, it says:
“You will see your Cornell ID # in the To Do List only when you are able to login with your NetID and password.”
— So if only accepted students receive the NetID, do only accepted students receive the Cornell ID #?

NO, All applicants are issued a Cornell ID, and it will become your permanent ID if admitted, Additionally, your app ID will become your Net ID without the APP if admitted. (usually 2-3 letter followed by 2 number)
