Hi, I’ll be transferring to Cornell ILR in the fall and I was wondering how rigorous the general ILR curriculum is. I know Cornell has a notorious reputation with its rigorous academia and grade deflation, however, I believe this does not hold true to ALL majors. I am seeking explanation on the general difficulty of the ILR curricula, competition for finance related internships, and grade deflation, if there is any. Thanks!
I can only say what I have heard, which is that ILR has the reputation of being less rigorous than the Sciences and Engineering at Cornell, if that’s worth anything. Enjoy your time at Cornell!
This is according to daughter who is a Senior STEM major. ILR students are the most relaxed during Finals. She refers to the major as I Love Reading.
