Cornell ILR Class of 2020 RD Thread

By the way does anyone know the average SAT/ACT and/or GPA for ILR? And do the contract colleges send in more likely letters than the “traditional” schools?

Hi!
Does anyone know when decisions will be released?
I’m hearing early march but I’m not too sure…

Was anyone here deferred ED? If so, did you call the college to ask about your deferral, and did they ever call you back?

I got deferred, and both I and my GC called; however - despite taking down my contact info once - ILR never called me back.

@Kingb543 I think early March acceptances are for those who get likely letters.

I applied RD to ILR. I am all the way from California, but I visited Cornell this summer and fell in love with the school. Does anyone here know if visiting the campus and attending info meeting in my area will improve my chances? I am too lazy to post my stats right now lol

@NotAMathlete I was deferred ED and my guidance counselor ended up playing phone tag with them for a week and a half but eventually got a hold of them. I wanted my guidance counselor to find out what my chances were going in the RD pool but admissions wouldn’t tell her anything of interest.

Decisions should start coming out any day now. From the Ivy Agreement:

i. Common Notification Date
On a common date, usually in late March, applicants to Ivy League institutions will be notified of admission decisions and financial aid awards. (Letters are mailed beginning in February for the Schools of Hotel Administration, and Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell, and beginning in February for the School of Nursing at Penn.)

Wait is our decision released via snail mail or like they were electronically for the Ed round?

@jgalls if you get your decision early, then it will be mailed…but if you get your decision on ivy day then it will be posted on the portal

@jgalls the decisions will be mailed on a rolling basis with the majority of the acceptances being released in the first two weeks of March. At least that’s what the historical precedent is.

Just got word from Cornell ILR…They are mailing out some decisions today and tomorrow while the rest will be released on Ivy day.

Do you all know if any CALS decisions are released before Ivy day?

I spoke with a rep. yesterday. Is it really a majority of ILR admitted this week?

@vlindo did you hear from the admissions office or from your own source? not questioning it, just if it was admissions then i want to ask SHA if they are doing the same!

@litlhoward2468 I heard from a rep at ILR. I don’t think they are doing a majority before Ivy day this year but in years past most ILR acceptances came out before Ivy day if you look at the old threads @Indigoraccoon4

Got my letter of acceptance today!

Congrats!!

@mountaingoats Congratulations!!! How was the letter of acceptance sent? USPS or FedEx? What did the letter look like? Thanks!

@collegegold11 I think it was just normal snail mail. It says the portal won’t be updated until late March.
