Cornell or Stony Brook

<p>My finaid packet from Cornell came back, and I am being offered nothing at all. the cost is about $34,000. Stony Brook is offering me acceptance to their Honors College and $3,000 which brings the cost to about $14,000. My parents can afford to pay about $5,000 per year, and I can add about another $2,000 per year.</p>

<p>Any suggestions on what to do?</p>

<p>I am going to be majoring in the natural sciences, and I do hope to go to medical school, but I do know that at my age no plans are set in stone, and I want to use college as a time to explore many areas.</p>

<p>With out a doubt, take Stony Brook. The debt for Cornell (and $34K is only a start per year). You will have loans just for your education at Stony Brook, but it will be doable. </p>
