Cornell SAT

I know Cornell only chooses to list its SAT Math and Critical Reading scores, but does it completely ignore the SAT writing section, or just choose not to list its averages.

Two years ago in our info session they said they didn't consider it (ciollege of Human Ecology)

So do they do the same w/ the English section of the ACT since it is the same thing?

Anybody know?

Only the adcoms know the answer to that question.

No, I believe they only look at the ACT Composite Score. It is somewhat of a game. On the Common Data Set, which each school submits & is thus used by all the "rankings" publications, CR & M percentiles are reported for the SAT. Only composite score is reported for the ACT. As I've stated before, admissions look at your scores to attempt to decide if you can handle the level of instruction, but they also must keep in mind their "stats", which fuel the rankings, which keep alumni happy, which increases $ those alumni give back to their schools. If you can get your scores in at least the middle range, your application then stands on the merits of all the other parts.
