i just got my acceptance package. i got the 15,000 scholarship, and i’m a finalist for the full room and board cornell scholarship. anyone else going march 5-6 to the “competition” weekend? it’s a nice school, but its only 15-20 min away from my house so that’s a big turn off for me. i also don’t like the small size, but i could probably get used to it. i am thinking about double majoring in business and communications, how is rollins program for those?

Did you apply RD? Also, did the package come in today?

What am I missing? You’re in Orlando and Cornell is by your house?

Rollins’ full scholarship is called the Cornell scholarship. :)

It’s just amazing … the things I don’t know. I’m in Fort Walton Beach by the way.

yes, i applied RD in oct or nov through the personal application that was sent to me in august. the package came yesterday, fed-exed in a package that said saturday delivery.

cornell isn’t the school, it’s the name of the scholarship at rollins. :-)

I got the same package…I can’t wait. :)

thepointol - are you going? i’m hoping it will be fun and laid back, even though it is a competition. is rollins one of your top choices?

It would be wrong to give up an excuse to get out of the cold state of Ohio, even if Rollins wasn’t one of my top choices.
(But it definitely is one of my top choices) The proposed schedule makes it seem like only 3 or 4 hours of the entire weekend compose the “competition” part, so it should be a good time.

yeah thats what i’m thinking. it will be cool to meet someone from CC.
what other schools did you apply to?

Yale (deferred), West Point (accepted), Trinity/San Antonio (accepted), and a whole slew of small LACs in Ohio. The Yale app was just for fun, but I will admit it was nice not to be part of the 60% rejected EA. Rollins is probably my top choice right now, and I will most definitely matriculate if I do well in the competition.
Looking forward to meeting another CCer too.

Somebody tell me about Rollins. My son (junior) got a letter mentioning the Cornell Scholarship. He doesn’t know what he wants to major in but is considering math.

I got accepted as well with an $11,000 scholorship and free laptop

Hey watsup, Im going the cornell competition tomorrow too, from ATL. C ya there.

A week or so until we get results… good luck everyone!
