Cornell School of Hotel Administration ED Thread - Class of 2024

Worrieddddddd

I’m praying that I don’t get rejected outright

Nervous as well

Same. Me too. Do we know how many applicants they accept Ed?

@do2020 @PianoWinterfell do y know anyone else applying ED? Who isn’t active on this thread. I know 2 boys

@student88888 i know 1 boy

I don’t know anyone besides you guys lol

@PianoWinterfell @do2020 last year SHA received 881 applications in total. Cornell receives 12% of applications ED. So I’m guessing they don’t get that many Ed

Do you guys know a little bit about other applicants’ experience and essays?

@PianoWinterfell @do2020 most people worked at country clubs or in a restaurant. Some people connect it to working in a store. I personally wrote about working in a travel agency, in addition, how I generated publications out of it in Travel and Leisure and then connected my interest in travel and my experience in people( working at a travel agency) to foster my love for hospitality by working at a hotel.

Woah I really like your essay theme! Connecting photography with hospitality is so cool

@PianoWinterfell thank u!!

Anyone know when decisions come out?

@bbnnwwuu36 Dec. 12 supposedly, date should be confirmed via email later this week or early next week I would assume

@bbnnwwuu36 Would you mind sharing your stats and experiences?

@bbnnwwuu36 welcome!!

@student88888 Have you started working on your RD essays? I’m debating whether to start lol

@PianoWinterfell I applied to a few schools EA and I submitted my RD applications to California schools bc they are due earlier. I started some RD but I’m truly waiting to hear back first.

@student88888 Haha I’m kinda in the same boat. Do you know any really competitive SHA ED applicants this year?

@PianoWinterfell I think me and @do2020 r pretty competitive. We have concrete work experience and high scores. You are applying applicant so u r in a different boat than us
