Cornell should make changes to the MEAL PLAN

Random. After spending one year at NYU and one year at Cornell I think that Cornell needs to make some changes to the meal plan.

Changes:

 1. Add a flex meal plan choice along with the golden bear, bear traditional, etc. A flex meal plans allows you to pick a number of meals for the whole semester instead of a having only 7,10, or 14 a week. So for example you can have 125 meals for the whole semester. This would allow you to not waste meals during the week and you wouldn’t have to worry about running out towards the end of the week. Also, it would be a nice way to swipe in a friend or guest without having use your guest points or having them pay $15.

2) Cornell should add in a meal exchange plan along with BRBs. This is perfect for when you aren’t near a dining hall but want to get a meal from an a-la-carte place or if you don’t have BRBs. For example, if I want a southwest chicken sandwich with chips and a 16oz soda from the Ivy Room I should be able to swipe that as a meal point rather than using BRBs.

Cornell doesn’t care about you, they care about profit! You do maximize profit by flexing meal plans. It’s designed to make you pay for every meal and miss as many as possible.

Honestly though, I agree with you, the meal plans are awful, though they work alright for freshman.

All the more reason I’m getting the collegetown meal plan (maybe).

10 meals a semester plus 750 brbs (I’ll spend every breakfast + lunch on campus due to classes)

800 bucks a semester… which isn’t too bad.

i agree with everything above.
