Cornell transfer AEM average GPA or acceptance rate?

Anyone know cornell’s AEM business transfer average GPA or acceptance rate?

Parallel Curriculum.
3.6 GPA+
Reason to attend (do your homework on the school)
Quality extracurriculars

That should give you a solid chance.

3.6 for the AEM program or the in general of cornell?

AEM… isnt that what you asked? engineering and CAS are more stringent.

may i ask where you got your information because that seems awlfully low

and do CCC (cali com college) students have lower chance than universities for transfer?

What do you mean by parallel curriculum?

GlueEater: Parallel curriculum meaning a curriculum similar to that of AEM in the sense that the classes you are currently taking are either similar or identical to those taken by regular AEM students.

skooskoo: No, CCC students do not have a lower chance. Pyune also said 3.6+ meaning you need at least a 3.6 to be competitive. That sounds about right.

skooskoo, as Jay1020 wrote… i said 3.6+ to be competitive. I never said sure thing. Transferring is not all about the numbers, some may disagree but I am a true testament to this idea. I had a 3.5 at UDel with a parallel curriculum (had a C in philosophy). I got accepted to BC, William and Mary, Lehigh and got a GT to Cornell. My essays were very strong (not to be cocky) in that I did my homework and I made sure I let the admissions board know, I did not just want to be at the school… but I wanted to contribute to the school. It was more than attending an Ivy league, it was opening opportunity and working toward my future. Show them your not just another workaholic but someone that actually has direction. I am sure I beat out some kids who looked better on paper because I represented character, my application had a personality. Thats what you need, I think there is more to the niche of academics than a numbers game.

Why AEM transfer have to take Biology?? I didnt take dat before, can i take it during this summer

felix, I think all prospective CALS students must take bio because of the life sciences part of their mission

Yea, hopefully they could let me make Bio up durin the summer >_<

Can you have a parallel curriculum if you aren’t an econ major? Because the first 2 years is mostly going to be pre-reqs and GEs right?

The BIO requirement is ridiculous for Non-agricultural business majors.

How many of you agree?

yea, i didnt take it before, but i did take two science courses in college,…Well, we ll c.
