Cornell Transfer fall 2024

Cornell University transfer for fall 2024 discussion

From the 2023 Transfer discussion, the decisions look to be rolling around mid-April on Tuesdays so the first wave might be April 16? And there was something about TO or Transfer Option hearing before others?

Sure, it seems to be starting from 4/16, with follow-up dates on 4/23 and 4/30. I believe the time is set for 2:00 PM, regardless of whether it’s a TO or non-TO. I’m in the non-TO. Last week, the checklist became available, and the email I received from FA mentioned that if any submissions were incomplete, I should aim to complete them by 4/5. It also stated that if there were still incomplete items by the week of 4/8, FA would contact me again. However, I had already submitted everything in February, and all my submissions are listed as received. Are you in the same situation?

I heard rumblings on April 9th… I hope it’s true for the first wave!

I wonder how many transfer do they admit this year

has anyone reached out to the admissions department before and asked when the first wave is? Just wondering if they release that information or not

not sure if u know or not, but if I have everything checked as received for my application checklist is it good then? Only reason I’m asking is because I found something on reddit a few days ago about a financial aid checklist… but I had no clue I had to fill one out :frowning: My parents don’t have their financial info right now so I worry my application wont go through.

I have not reached out the admissions department about the admissions decision, nor is there any mention of it in the portal.

Regarding the financial aid checklist, if any submission is required, the FA office should contact you. At least in my case, I submitted my parent’s financial information through IDOC a month ago, and I received an email notification about it from IDOC. Have you submitted your FAFSA or CSS Profile? If you are an international student, then FAFSA is not required.

admissions office emailed me in late March that the checklist was available. You received that email, didn’t you? However, I haven’t received any emails from the fa office regarding the financial aid checklist. I’ve just been checking the status myself every day😔

Yeah, I got my checklist and everything says received. I also submitted my FAFSA and made sure the info was sent to Cornell. I didn’t do the CSS profile yet because unfortunately I didn’t know about it :frowning: I’m hoping my parents can get their tax info for me today so I can submit it

Do you CSS profile asap. The FAFSA is delayed and they cannot do an estimate without the CSS profile.

This is a comment I recently saw on reddit by someone. It’s written about the admissions decision date for a transfer. I’m not sure if it’s true, but just for your reference.

i was browsing through last years transfer forum and apparently some non-TO applicants got accepted the first and second waves as well, so there might be hope for non TOs
