<p>Cornell - reach (but apply cause you never know) which school are you going for</p>

<p>UCLA/UCB - mad reach, low OOS score and GPA is really tough
NYU - match/ slight reach
BU - match
JHU - reach to mad reach
Rutgers - safe match to safety
TCNJ - safe match to safety</p>

<p>Though being a recuited athelte could change everything. Do you plan club teams? Whats your intended feild of study? and it looks like you trailled off at the end of your post.</p>

<p>btw, you are an all around solid student with good test scores, good grades and great ECs. THe schools you listed look for wellrounded students such as yourself and I think you are a match for UCLA and UCB atleast.</p>

<p>Flopsy is generally dead on with the UC’s, he predicted my chances pretty well last year to UCLA. My opinion UC’s are really tough out of state, they pretty much turn into Ivy’s for kids out of state, especially engineering at Berkeley and Pre-Med at UCLA. Based upon ur stats I would say its gonna be tough but u could get in, who knows? I would say if ur dream is California go to a school where u caould receive a high GPA and do lots of internships then apply for Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD. Hope this helps</p>

<p>You are “California dreaming”, with the UC’s stats on accepting out of staters. There are Californian with your number clamoring to get accepted. It is a long shot with your ECs possibly catching an adcom’s eye . But with Silicon Valley in the state, there are all sorts of entrepeneurial students in line for those schools. The east coast schools are more likely to be interested in those activities. With your legacy status, Cornell is a match/reach.Johns Hopkins would be a reach if they even sniff premed in your app. They have enough premeds applying that they could fill their class with them. NYU is a reach/match, mainly because of geographic. I know a number of kids with your stats who got in,but they are from the midwest. BU is a solid match and the state schools should be safeties. Just get those apps in early, because engineering slots tend to fill up early.</p>

<p>Are you sure you want to be premed/engineering? You aren’t exactly strong in either category with a 730 Math IIC, 690 Physics. I wouldn’t count on legacy at cornell to do anything, and you can kiss those UC’s goodbye, especially since you’re out of state.</p>
