How do I declare as a Business Major at Cornell University? I got accepted into CALS but I’ve heard that you cant “go into Cornell” as a business major. What does this mean? When can I and how can I become a undergrad business school at Dyson. Would I have to take certain classes freshman year before applying to it or what? Any detailed info is much appreciated.
Why ask here? This is a question for your advisor at Cornell.
You had to have listed the Dyson School on your common application:
“On either application, Dyson applicants should select “Cornell SC Johnson College of Business–Dyson School” as their program of interest.”
It’s hard to get into the school. Like the above poster said, you should seek academic advising. Maybe the rule has changed, but when my son applied to CALS you had to declare a major on your application and that was in 2015.

I assume you specified a different major within CALS. So you now have to switch majors, to Dyson.
I don’t know whether that still counts as an “intra-college” major switch within CALS, or rather an “inter-college” switch, now that Dyson is being “sprung”. Or if that even matters.

I recall this guy talks about his internal transfer to Dyson in his blog, but it was a few years ago.
Plus I don’t care to look up where on the blog ithe relevant posts are now, so you’ll have to look yourself if interested:
