I am a student in Florida, applying to transfer to Cornell Engineering after completing my sophomore year, I had taken a six-week summer course at Cornell, however due to some circumstances, I got a B and a C in the two courses I took. But my college GPA while applying be >3.8 and I have 1580 (New SAT) and 800s in SAT 2s (PHY, MATH 2), and will be having stellar Letter of Recs, as I did intensive research with my professor of a science course at my university in Florida So, does it hurt my chances of attending the Summer Session and get B & C, cos the dept might think that I cannot handle the courses here, but after all it wasn’t like a proper semester course but six-week session. Please let me know and if any tips, please let me know that too.
Id say try but if all else fails look into a community college in upstate NY. Monroe community college in Rochester NY has transfer articulation agreements for Cornell egineering where if you complete their program you can transfer to Cornell. You also will save a ton of money by doing this. MCC also is only an hour and a half away by car from Cornell. We’ve had kids also transfer to Yale and Columbia from here. Look it up and call to get the info. MCC is one of the best communtiy colleges in the nation. They are also creating partnerships over seas with Chinese universities.
But I am a college student in florida, and in my sophomore year…
