<p>It being too cold. I live in Long Island and it’s the same damn weather. There’s definitely more snow, but because the snow is so well managed (because it’s expected), as opposed to long island where it’s not expected, it’s better. I feel like people say it’s too cold because many other (a majority?) of colleges are in warmer areas, so, in comparison, yes, it’s colder, but people complain way too much. not an urban legend but a stigma/stereotype that I feel is grossly exaggerated and brought up too often.</p>

<p>i have never had to wear tights under my jeans in long island bc of the cold. unless you live in a colder part of LI than i do, i’ve also never experienced a week straight of negatives. but this is all relative bc some people feel cold more than others.</p>
