Which one of these has the strongest engineering program? I know there are schools outside of the Ivy League which are better suited for engineering. This is just a general question.
P.S. Specifically mech.,aeronautical and aerospace category.
Thanks!
McDonalds Vs Burger King Vs Wendy’s
Which one of these has the best burrito? I know there are restaurants outside of this grouping which are better suited for Mexican food. This is just a general question.
I would think Princeton is the best out of those 3.
But, like @GMTplus7 said, Caltech, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, U Mich etc. the list goes on, are probably better than Cornell and Princeton at engineering.
If you want to major in engineering, those schools will probably help you more than an Ivy League school.
If u want engineering, then stop being such a pathetic “ivy ho”, and start looking at schools known for engineering, because that’s where companies will go to recruit them.
GMTplus7 has a point, I guess, but it’s a fact that Cornell and Princeton have some of the finest undergrad aero programs around.
In that US News list, I believe Cornell is #11 (you have to pay to see the full list). Among the Ivy League, Cornell is usually ranked the highest in most engineering disciples, partly because it is the biggest and gets the most research funding. This doesn’t mean that you won’t get as good or better an undergrad education at one of the other Ivies, of course.
But maybe not for aerospace engineering. Purdue and others are better. I think Cornell is strong in engineering overall, most likely computer science or computer engineering.
@GMTplus7 hahahahaha…man that was great. I was just wondering about this, and I know I come off as an ‘ivy ho’ but I wanted to apply to one reach school early and stanford, mit, caltech etc. seemed “too much” of a reach, thus I thought I’d have a better chance of being accepted to one of these. I don’t care if it’s ivy or not, I just want to do a lot of research in the 4 years that I will spend at whichever school I’ll go to.
Thanks for the good laugh though
