Cornell Writing Supplement Change from 2013-2014

2014: How have your interests and related experiences influenced the major you have selected in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences? (Please limit your response to 650 words.)

2013: College of Arts and Sciences: Describe your intellectual interests, their evolution, and what makes them exciting to you. Tell us how you will utilize the academic programs in the College of Arts and Sciences to further explore your interests, intended major, or field of study.

The updated Cornell writing supplement doesn’t state to explain how you will use Cornell’s resources. Should I include Cornell’s resources in my 2014 essay, or should I just leave them out (I’m assuming the change means that they’re tired of people regurgitating information).

u do realize that those are for two DIFFERENT schools right? One is for CAS, the other is for CALS…

^yeah and the arts and sciences 2013 is pretty much the same this year, but just a bit reworded.

Ugh, sorry I’m so dumb. T_T. Anyways, should I tell them how the schools resources will benefit me if they don’t ask?

How come every other supplement asks how you will use the school to your advantage except for this one?

Yeah, I was a little confused myself about whether I should talk solely about me, or talk about me and the school.

Hoping someone could give their input.
