Does anyone have information about the application process (timeline, interviews, notifications, etc.) for the Coronat Scholarship? It looks like an amazing opportunity for students if offered.
My daughter is a freshman Coronat at ‘Cuse! I can try to look back for the dates on everything. Was your student invited to apply?
1/27/23-Invitation to apply
2/24-selected to interview
3/3-Interview
3/7-call then email that she was named a Coronat scholar
3/23-zoom info meeting
3/27 or 3/31- Coronat campus visits
3/31-actual update on portal of admission

Same here. My D is hoping to be selected for an interview. Does the coronat scholarship include room and board or just the tuition?

Tuition and fully funded study abroad. Paid research as well and automatic admittance into the honors program. We are paying about $19k/yr for room, board and random fees. Which we’re thrilled to do since full price is over $80k.
Good luck to those selected to apply! My D21 applied 3y ago. She was notified mid Feb that she was not a finalist but at that time was given early admission and told she was being considered for other scholarships. She later (? Early March or so) was given a half tuition leader scholarship. Ultimately, she ended up at her first choice school and turned it down (hard) but it was an awesome opportunity!
It’s very encouraging to hear there may be other scholarship opportunities if the Coronat doesn’t happen. Keeping fingers crossed for everybody!

So is the Coronat Scholarship truly and only based on merit?I am assuming that since 40 are interviewed and 30 get it, the 10 that don’t are waitlisted?
They offer it to about 30 knowing only about half will accept. I think there are 12 freshman Coronats. So no one is waitlisted if that answers your question? I think it’s the same as all things admission related, where they have goals and base their numbers on past years’ results and I assume other factors?
Anybody have an update about the interview invitations? On pins and needles.

D is not a finalist. She has been given admission and being considered for other scholarships……
Same situation with our student. Good luck to all those moving forward in the process and keeping fingers crossed for scholarship opportunities for the other students. All involved are very deserving!

Hi! Has anyone else heard anything? I’m assuming that my child is not moving on to interview given he did not receive any type of notification. Just thought we’d get notice either way.
Last year people did get notice either way. Hopefully that’s still the case! Fingers crossed for you!!
