Corporate (in-house) lawyer

How tough is it to land a job as a corporate or in-house lawyer?

good question…i’m also curious about this

Right out of law school, it isn’t easy. Generally, people go in house after at least a few years as an associate in a firm.

I work in-house at a corporation that employs a dozen attorneys. Nine of them worked as associates in firms right after law school. Of the other three, one is a patent attorney; another is an employment attorney who worked in HR before law school and did an intership for us;the third was a financial analyst who went to law school at night, and changed roles in the same company after graduation.

Im trying to find an internship in a law firm. Do they offer any?
