Correlation Between Chess and SAT Score?

<p>I have come to notice that a spate of my beloved comrades who play chess (including myself) possess unusually high SAT scores, often above the 2300 range. Perhaps enactment of the royal game could confer increase in SAT score productivity?</p>

<p>Most likely, because you will have developed an ability to detect subtleties from chess which thus can be readily applied to the SAT.</p>

<p>I think chess attracts more logical people. People who tend to be good test takers.</p>

<p>^Chess attracts people with higher aptitudes, which is exactly what the SATs measure.</p>
