COSMOS - A place to party?

I’m applying for COSMOS this year, and I’ve heard (from several peers who’ve gone to COSMOS in past years, as well as from some older CC posts) that at COSMOS, you don’t really learn that much new/useful information; most of your time is spent having fun with friends, etc…
One guy at my school said that at UCSD people only “party”; and clusters like UCSC’s Chemistry of Life cluster (which I’m interested in applying for) was mainly learning about the prof’s research and replicating some of his smaller labs…

How true is this??

The short answer: it’s what you make of it.

The long answer: PM me lol.
