coterm with Bio-Engineering BS/Statistics MS, or M&CS BS/Statistics MS?

Should I coterm with Bio-Engineering BS/Statistics MS, or M&CS BS/Statistics MS?

I LOVE Physics and Statistics, but am also aiming for versatility in the job market…I also want to keep the option of medical school open (Being a cardiologist was my dream up until the vast opportunities of Stanford slammed me in the face)

I was originally thinking about coterming with a double major (BioE and MCS), buuuuuut I kinda realized the workload would be suffocating.

Insights please?

@orotund. It’s hard to tell…but, are you going to be a freshman this fall?

yes i am!

…haha and maybe it’s too early for me to be thinking so much about everything but–GOSH! there are so many opportunities at stanford!!!

Do you like apples more than peaches?

This is really about your personal preferences and what you will find as you are exploring Stanford.

My DS started with one major, after first year is thinking about a co-term with a double major…or not ;)

What he liked about Stanford is the amount of flexibility you have…especially if you enter with significant AP credit or other college credits, or are into taking some crazy course loads because there are so many opportunities.

@orotund - enjoy it. hard to believe my DS is already almost 25% done…or 20% if he co-terms ;)

@orotund. First congratulations! I would strongly recommend getting the lay of the land during your first and second quarters at least to see what you really want to major in…because many “minds” are changed even after the first quarter…and the number of credits you have through your AP exams in certain classes will also help with co-terming…

…so, enjoy the summer…enjoy the “three books” you will be sent to read over the summer…and practice the fine art of “chillaxing” (even for a future STEM) B-) …
