Could anyone answer my question??

i am an international student who apply emory as ED2. I just found a problem!!! The professor who i mentioned in my why essay is now NOT in the emory. Because i heard this person when i decided to study abroad( it was about 2007), and at that time i truly appreciated him for his focus on bank. BUT, he went to another university about 2008. NOW, i mentioned this professor in my why essay( i did not realize to find more information about this person) and use this professor as an example for great professors in the emory. Will this affect my application?? i feel really bad, now.

If you used him as an <<<<example>>> it won’t. But if you started talking about how you’d like to meet him and all that… They’ll think you didn’t put much effort into your research, which is another way of saying you didn’t do much of your research. But, seriously, it’s just one problem. That <didn’t put=“” much=“” effort=“”> won’t even apply if you wrote the essay really well and provided lots of examples and all that. They won’t kill you.</didn’t></example>

My impression is that it won’t matter at all. It’s good that you mentioned a particular professor as an example of the outstanding faculty at Emory. The admissions officers who read your application and essays may not know that he left either. Being in high school, you couldn’t be expected to know the current status of the faculty.

Agreed with Nighthawk.
