<p>Found this scholarship for journalism majors and I want to apply but the deadline is coming up and looking at past winners I’m not sure if I even have a chance. I have no experience on a paper, basically the only credential when it comes to writing is that I have never gotten anything less than an A in english or history and passed the AP exams in both. I’m 10/152 public school and the past winner was a saludictorian who worked for the Citizen (newspaper in North Texas). Anyways I can’t figure out if this deadline is the postmark one or if it needs to be in their hands by this date??? If it needs to be in their hands I don’t think I’ll apply, the chances are just too slim. Looking at the application they ask if I’ve worked for my school paper or have work experience with one and I have zilch. I’ve just spent so much time and effor applying to so many scholarships I didn’t even get and I’m just feeling tired of it I guess…but trying to be optimistic! :)</p>
